What the portal stores

Amm Player is a media player. It does not sell, provide or link to any channels, movies or series. You add the playlists of services you are subscribed to yourself.

Your device

When Amm Player starts, it registers the device MAC address and device key shown on its screen. The key is checked against a salted scrypt hash. A copy of the key is also kept encrypted with a separate key, so the service administrator can restore your access if something goes wrong. We keep the device model, app version, when the device last connected, and the IP addresses and approximate location (country and city) it and your browser connected from.

Your playlists

Playlist names, server addresses, usernames, passwords and M3U links are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before they are saved. They are sent to the device that signs in with the matching MAC address and key. Passwords are never shown again on this site.

Who can see it

Your own dashboard shows your playlists and recent sign-ins with shortened addresses. The service administrator can see every device, its key, playlists, connection addresses and security events, to provide support, keep backups and stop abuse. Every administrator sign-in and change is logged.

Weather on the app's main menu

To show your town and the weather, the app asks ipwho.is for the approximate location of your internet connection and Open-Meteo for the weather there. Both see your IP address; nothing else about you or the device is sent. Turn it off in the app under Settings, Weather on the main menu.

No tracking

There are no ads, no analytics and no third-party trackers. The only cookie is the one that keeps you signed in for 8 hours.

Deleting your data

Delete a playlist from the dashboard and it is removed from our storage and from your device at its next refresh. To delete your device and all its data, contact your provider.
